Homework without understanding the concept is a negative experience. Research has been unable to prove that homework improves students’ performance. Children should get the chance to be children, not spend their afternoons studying, stressing and most of all hating books and school. I have a no homework policy in my school, and both children and parents love it. Utopia? No. It is all about time management and flexibility.
Come see an exciting and informative presentation of Amazing English, Hamilton House Publishers’ new series for Senior A-D classes, followed by a demonstration of its interactive whiteboard software and a Q&A session.
Before using ECCE/ECPE practice tests, students should first develop the necessary skills to maximize their chance to succeed. This presentation focuses on the ECCE/ECPE Build up your skills book series highlighting their instrumental role in test preparation.
Homework has always been a mainstay teacher strategy. When used properly, homework is an effective method for reinforcing educational learning goals. In the 21st century, a new style of homework should be encouraged, beyond the current model that mainly emphasizes rote rehearsal skills and mere practice at home. This new homework model should entail activities that inspire students to be more creative, explore their interests and become more autonomous. Only by providing learners with tasks that are relevant, intriguing, interesting and exciting can there be a positive correlation between homework and higher levels of academic achievement.
We meet Ζippy and his friends in this series! Through their adventures learners experience fun, topic-appropriate activities, where communication is not at the expense of grammar and projects are part of learning. Give your students the opportunity to be confident and independent users of English.
Moomin Language School (MLS) is the Finnish approach to early childhood (3-7 years old) education. It is based on the principles of language immersion through the combination of the “playful lessons” and the MLS platform. The new language is learned organically and intuitively while promoting the young learners’ autonomy and cultivating their soft skills (active listening, self-monitoring, critical thinking, resilience, team work etc). Do you wish to create a unique educational environment where your students learn to love and love to learn? Dare to join us!

There will be reference to the benefits of both of them and the conclusion that will be drawn is that each one of these forms of assessment has its own merits and that teachers and schools will benefit from both of these options.

As a new academic year is about to start we all envision changes that we would like to make in our teaching practices. At the same time though the notion of change is often intimidating as we tend to think of it as a process of complete transformation that requires us to leave our “old self” back. In this session, we will explore together which practical steps we can take towards sustainable change and discover alternatives in relation to lesson activities, skills building and classroom routines.
