Alexey Voronovich – Lecturer at the SPbU Online Course “History of Russia”, which is taking place within the framework of celebratory events on the Cross Year of History of Russia and Greece. This program is being implemented with the cooperation of The Representative Office of St. Petersburg University in Greece (Center of Russian Language and Culture «Russian Word»)
PhD in Historical Sciences, Professor of History and Social Studies at the Academic Gymnasium of St. Petersburg State University, Senior Researcher at the Department of Formation and Processing of Information Resources of the Presidential Library.
Since 2018, he has been teaching online history classes at the St. Petersburg State University Language Testing Center: St. Petersburg State University online school (courses for grades 7, 9, 10 and 11), a 6th grade history course for the Association of Parents of Compatriots in France, a history course for Greek citizens studying Russian. He has also conducted classes on the methodology of teaching the history of Russia for teachers living abroad.
Since 2020, Dr. Voronovich has been preparing students for the city history Olympiads and has been the developer of the History Olympiad “Russia in the Electronic World” of the Presidential Library.
He also participated (author and presenter) in educational television projects, such as a series of issues on the St. Petersburg TV channel dedicated to the history of the siege of Leningrad and the Great Patriotic War.
His scientific interests include the Russian history of the XX century, Russian emigration, historical memory, methodology of history and the history of educational publications on history. As a teacher, he enthusiastically studies the theory and practice of current methods of presenting information, the specifics of organizing lessons and lectures online.
